[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? Remus was sitting at the bar, his third firewhiskey in his hand. Recently he had heard rumors of his sister running around with several people that he didn’t quite approve of. Yes, they had a huge fight and hadn’t been talking to each other, but it wasn’t like he would ever try to hurt her – he was just a terrible person in general, and he knew it. Or well, he thought of himself that way. It probably didn’t help that his friends held very strong values and so he also felt those values strongly. After all, they were the only ones who accepted him after finding out what he was. They were kind and fought with him, for him, together. He knew they wouldn’t stand for mistreatment of him from the ministry – after the war of course. After they won against this invading ideology that despised people who were different in any way. Remus didn’t disagree with everything they thought but he believed in a better way to do it. Peaceful protest and work. Work with the system and change it through hard work instead of killing. He could understand their ideology, the Death Eaters, but he disagreed greatly with the way they were going about it. However, he also understood why the Ministry hated people like him: in general, werewolves were violent, soulless and deserving nothing but death. But he also knew even those in the packs… if they were given a ‘normal’ life, they would take it. They would fight for it. He knew the Ministry was pushing the wolves right into Voldemort’s hands. And he was worried with the rumors he was hearing about her hanging around certain people meant that they were pushing her into his hands too. Didn’t help their father was protected by the ministry. He quickly downed his glass of firewhiskey and began to leave the Leaky Cauldron, taking a walk down the streets of Muggle London, a bit foggy headed, but in general not too bad. At least he could walk straight. He sniffed, seeing a couple together with a child, walking home. He bundled himself up with his jacket and quickly walked past them. He turned down a street then seeing a woman who looked a bit like his sister and he just stopped and sat on a bench. Why couldn’t he walk down a simple street without thinking everything looked like something he knew he could never have? He buried his head in his hands and just sat on this bench in the middle of London.

Woah. What a day.
Caitlyn had been through a bit of a whirlwind. Got out of bed with some lovely twins (who themselves had sets of lovely twins between them). Quick brunch with the good looking ministry chap who always smelled faintly of cinnamon. Raid on an illegal dark magic pop up shop, duel with a dark wizard with crazy eyes and out of work before the rush. So all and all her perfect day. Now she just needed a good dinner and someone to keep her bed warm. Caitlyn had plenty of numbers that she could seek some companionship with, even in a place like London. Question is...who? Veronica was a dear, but she was also a wild and spontaneous sort so who knows if she was even in London anymore. Vincent was lovely, but he was a sensitive sort and could be in one of his moods where he wasn't much interested in the companionship of anybody and...
Oh. Hello.
Who was that brooding young man sitting all bundled up on the bench? He looked positively good enough to eat. And here he was. All alone. That simply wasn't right. Caitlyn had to do something about that. Thankfully she was all dressed up, wearing a stylish trench coat, heels, and dark make up that complimented her features well.
She saddled up right next to him.
"Hello dear. What's wrong? You seem awfully sad." Caitlyn said. Putting a flirtatious spin to her words.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? Remus looked up quickly like he was playing some sort of jump scare game and placed his hand over his heart. “I’m sorry, I was lost in thought.” He looked over her and a confused look appeared on his face. Along with a very slight blush. She was all dressed up, beautiful, and she was talking to him? Why on earth would someone like her, associate with someone like him. Instinctively, his hand went to his face, tracing one of his scars as if to say ‘don’t you see these’ but he quickly dropped his hand. “Nothing’s wrong. Well nothing that can be fixed.” He shook his head and stretched out and laid a hand on the back of the bench. Well, she obviously had a night planned. It would be a shame if he interrupted that. He didn’t want to make her feel like he was holding her back because she was worried about some stranger. “You look like you’re dressed up for a night. Don’t let me get in the way.”

Aw. The kid was sweet. Like really sweet. He was like a little bird with a broken wing.
It was going to be fun corrupting him.
"Don't worry about me sweetie. I'm pretty free tonight. Plenty of time on my hands to learn all about what's got you looking so down." Caitlyn said, sitting down beside him at the bench.
"You sure it can't be fixed. I'm a pretty resourceful woman. There's all kinds of things I can do that can make someone feel better." She said really laying it on thick. She put a hand on Remus's knee, and she gave her signature 1000 watt Fey smile. ' "And those scars aren't a problem for me." Caitlyn whispered in Remus's ear.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? His eyes widened as her hand touched his knee. Oh gods, what was going on? Was she – Was she one of those… women of the night trying to get him to pay to spend the night with her? That would make sense why she had no plans, and she was all dressed up. He gently took her hand, lifted it off his knee and set it to the side, clearing his throat roughly. “Ah ha, well before you get too into… whatever this is, I don’t have any money to pay you.” Hell, he didn’t even know if this girl – woman – knew about magic. After all this was muggle London, though they weren’t very far from the Leaky Cauldron. There were his hands, shaking with nervousness. “A-And I’m pretty sure you can’t find my sister to let me talk to her. Or find me a girl who would accept someone like me and make a family. So, I’m pretty sure… you’re wrong.”

She laughed. A clear. melodic sound that pierced the night. He thought she was a prostitute. That was funny. To be fair that didn't sound like a bad career, maybe in some alternative universe she was involved in sex work but...oh boy. Something told her he wasn't used to come ons. Maybe not used to dealing with women at all.
"Honey, I don't take money for that. I do it for free. And quite enthusiastically. I'm more of a skilled amateur, you might say, instead of a professional. Though I have paid for it once or twice. That's neither here nor there though. Point is, I'm attracted to you. Genuinely. And I want to have some fun with you. No strings attached. Nothing wrong with that." Caitlyn said.
"Again. I'm pretty resourceful. I can probably find your sister. And I know a lot of girls. I could probably find someone who is into your type and ready for the whole...family thing. There's no strings attached to that offer, either." Caitlyn said, slipping into a more conversational tone. She had nothing against family per se. She had one of her own after all. It was just the notion of monogamy that was tied into it. The idea of settling down. It made her skin crawl. It was fine for other people, she just wished it wasn't treated as the ideal. As the only real path for respectable people.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? His eyes widened even further and his hand from the back of the bench was removed very quickly. He stood up a bit suddenly and rubbed the back of his head nervously, looking around as if to see if anyone was listening. She was so open about… that. He didn’t know quite how to deal with it. Sure, he’d seen how James or Sirius would react, but he wasn’t them. And boy, he wished he could ask them for advice right now. “I – well, no offense, you are very pretty but I – I haven’t…” He looked off to the side as if embarrassed before he quickly shook it away. “I would… like to save that first… for someone special, you know? I mean… that’s… something old fashioned at this point, and I’m sure a lot of people would laugh at me. But… I don’t know. It’s the one thing I can control in my life, and I want it to be… memorable. With someone I love. We don’t… even know each other’s names.” His face had gone pink like a Slowpoke. His hands were shaking because well, he wasn’t used to this, this was so weird – someone actually liking him? Wanting to – to do that with him? Boy, usually it was Sirius or James the girls were fawning over. This wasn’t normal for him. “I uh, doubt that, honestly. When she doesn’t want to be found, she won’t be. She’s resourceful as well. I’m pretty sure any girl you would bring to me would very quickly get bored of me or run away scared when they really get to know me. I’m not a good man. I’m poor. I’m… dangerous. Both of those are red flags to anyone.”

Caitlyn was...a bit disappointed. But it wasn't like she wasn't expecting an answer like that. She did admire him in a way, to be able to resist the...cravings that must be going through him. Even if it wasn't something she would do.
"Alright. I'll stop asking then. But I will remove one of your complaints. My name is Caitlyn. Caitlyn Fey. What's yours?" She said offering him a hand.
"Being poor isn't a problem. And every teenage boy thinks he's dangerous. I doubt anything you've done would scare me. Trust me, I got into way more trouble when I was your age then your likely to get into your whole life. And that's the truth." Caitlyn said.
"Now don't you want to go into a cafe or something? Buy a bite to eat. Maybe oggle some pretty waitresses? I know I'd like that. Come on. I'll pay." Caitlyn said getting up and beckoning the young man.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? He swallowed thickly and shook his head, taking her hand. “Remus Lupin.” Fey. He recognized that name. If he recalled correctly it was an old pureblood family. Hm. So, she was very much likely a witch. That meant she was a lot more able to possible find his sister, but even then, he doubted it. The Order had been keeping tabs on her and even they had lost her several times. Remus gave her a small smile and shook his head. “Poor is a problem. I wouldn’t be able to provide for someone, let alone myself. When it comes to danger, well, I think I could bet you that I am in far more trouble than you’ve been in. You have no idea how bad it can be… If you knew, you’d have to call the Ministry and have me arrested.” He said that on purpose – without completely making it sound insane to a muggle, but it would make perfect sense to a witch. So if she didn’t seem to think anything of the fact he said she’d need to call the ministry… Well, then he had his answer for sure. “I can’t let you buy me something.” He fumbled through his pockets to find just a bit of muggle money and only a few sickles. He frowned. “I can just sit there while you oggle and eat.”

Remus Lupin. That was a Wizards name if she'd ever heard one. And then he mentioned Ministry. She knew her signals.
"If poor was a problem society wouldn't function. The rich need lots of poor families producing lots of poor children who'll work in their factories and vote Tory and keep them in power. Trust me, you'll be fine. As for the Ministry...well then. You have been a naughty boy, haven't you. Been playing with your wand out in public?" She teased. Privately she wondered if he was a dark wizard. If she was, she would have to run him in. Cute or not.
But that would be a pity.
"You can. Trust me. I have enough many for a thousand cheap meals. A million. Don't be so prideful. It comes off as chauvanist and won't get you many girls. Now cmon. I'm sure you'll enjoy the meal and the view. I know a place near here." Caitlyn said and lead him off. She knew a place where the skirts were short, the waitresses were busty and the food wasn't half bad.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? He raised an eyebrow. Unfortunately for her little theory of all poor people voting the same people into power, well he wasn’t quite like all the rest. His reason for being poor… well it wasn’t anything he could control. “Oh no, nothing quite that tame,” He shook his head, “Let’s just say, my own father has called me ‘soulless, evil, and deserving nothing but death’. He works there, you know. Beast division.” He frowned and pursed his lips. Maybe he had said too much. If she knew his father, back then, thirteen years ago, it was something the entire ministry had buzzed about. Lyall Lupin, not afraid of werewolves, says it to the face of the leader of the pack of wolves that they’re all soulless, evil, and deserving nothing but death. But luckily the attack wasn’t ever reported and so they all thought he got off scot-free. Little did the world know. “It’s not –“ Well it was pride. It was the one thing he felt he could control at least a little bit. But even then, he knew he was fooling himself. He had to depend on his friends to support him, so he could have food, shelter, anything really. “It’s just… wasteful, to spend money on a meal when there’s other things that could… you know go towards other things. More important things.”

"Beast division eh?" Caitlyn thought about it. Lupin. Beast division. Sounded familiar. But she couldn't quite recall why. That was going to nag at her.
"Nothing's more important than a good meal. That, la petite mort and some good sleep are vital to a good life. Like I said, I'm plenty wealthy and I like lavishing and pampering pretty young men with sad eyes. Consider it an exchange, dear." Caitlyn said. She lead him down the streets into a little cafe, just a bit off the beaten track. As per usual, the cafe was filled with pretty waitresses.
She requested a table for two and sat down. Taking off her trench coat to reveal a little black dress that flattered her curves quite well. A pretty blonde woman, maybe a couple years Remus's senior, with pretty pink lips and gorgeous green eyes, was their waitress.
"Hello sweetie. I would love the Tavern burger and a cup of coffee. Remus, dear, what about you?" Caitlyn said, tilting her head a bit. This could get fun.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? An exchange? He shook his head and chuckled lightly. “I’d like to say that I don’t live a bad life, and I usually have none of those.” Then again you were just sitting there sad about your life. “What’s it an exchange for then?” For his company? He was pretty sure he wasn’t good company. Terrible company in fact. He chuckled again running a hand through his hair. As they approached the place, he didn’t recognize it. He’d never been here before, but he also wasn’t surprised by that. Now if Sirius didn’t know about this place… that’d be surprising. When she took off her trench coat, he couldn’t help but stare a bit. However, when he heard the steps of their waitress he coughed and looked to the side, only to see another beautiful woman as their waitress. His eyes widened, and he licked his lips. “Hm?” He heard his name. Oh right! He needed to order. Remus cleared his throat again and his eyes glanced around before he looked down at the menu. “I’ll just, uhm, take whatever she’s having.” He quickly handed the menu to the waitress without looking at her, his face very red.

"Dear, that's not a life. That's simply surviving. Though I am curious about what sort of life you lead. I mean I found you looking angsty into the middle distance. That's behavior strictly reserved for broody anti-heroes, artists and angsty teens. I'm wondering which one you are." Caitlyn said.
"And it's for your company of course. I like being with attractive people. Even when I'm not...courting them. Besides I'm a bit of a collector of stories, and I'd like to hear yours." Caitlyn said. She grinned as she saw his embarrassing behavior.
"So lovely, what's your name?" Caitlyn said, catching the waitress before she retreated.
"Uh...my name is Molly." She said.
"Molly. Pretty name. I knew a Molly some time ago. She was quite...passionate. And...expressive. Vocal you might say." Caitlyn said, giving her a somewhat lewd smile.
"Uh-thanks. I think." Molly said, looking somewhat embarrassed. A bit blushy and fidgety. Ah yes, that was the good stuff. She must be new.
"Sorry for taking your time. You can get back to work now." Caitlyn said. The waitress fled, and Caitlyn took a long glance at her bottom as she made her escape.
"She was pretty cute huh?" Caitlyn said, addressing Remus again.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? Remus chuckled nervously and looked down at his lap for a few moments. “Well I suppose it is just surviving. I don’t know if I deserve a life.” He frowned and shook his head. “I was mostly just… thinking about how I missed my sister. And how… I wished I could… have someone who loved me. You see, I’ve had a total of two crushes in my entire life. One is one of my best friends, so that will never happen. The other, my other best friend is in love with, and so THAT would never happen either. Not to mention, I doubt a lot of people would be okay with… well me, in general. You might not mind the scars, but I do. They’re a constant reminder as to why I’m dangerous.” Remus, you really shouldn’t say things like that. Mostly because then people might guess what you are, and if that got public… it would just end badly. He would be shunned from society as a whole, he would be hated – he couldn’t let his friends be dragged down by that either. He would leave his friends and likely never let himself be found again. And he didn’t want that. He loved his friends. He wanted to fight for them, not run and hide forever. Right now, it was the best solution. No one knew, and he could be treated like a normal person. Remus continued to stare at his lap while Caitlyn flirted with the waitress, his face still tomato red. “I – I suppose so.”
