She is one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. She has but little to offer, but she would offer you the world and try to make sure she could uphold her word. She's sweet and quirky, in the sense that she tells jokes that aren't particularly funny, but they're a part of her and so they are. She's a naturally motherly person, always daunting over her friends, making sure they eat, etc. She loves life and values friendship, especially given the social climate and the impending war. Molly is heartfelt and sensitive, making her someone who is a good listener, but can also be easily hurt. She's vulnerable in that she gives her all to something, including her heart. Molly can be temperamental and easily annoyed though she tries to keep her anger under control. She has a sense of wonder with the world and sees the beauty in it, and is a lover of nature. That said, she is fearful of how the world is changing, and is becoming more reclusive. Molly enjoys walks in the park and shopping in Diagon Alley, though her shopping days typically are limited due to her lack of funds. She is loving and nurturing, especially to her children. Molly has always valued family and taken it very seriously. She's a hard worker despite not having an actual occupation. She's a talented witch with her magical abilities, though she applies them to her housework and practical things. She is a great duelist but thinks it only matters when it comes to protecting her family. Molly is also really skilled at healing magic. [attr="class","nodensright1"]SUBJECT BACKGROUND [attr="class","nodensright21"] [attr="class","nodensright22"] There was nothing but joy when Molly Prewett was born to Ignatius and Lucretia Black on that particularly cold October 30th day. She was their last-born child, a girl like her mother had wanted after being granted twin boys. The boys were two at that time, making for a very rambuctious household. Their parents were Purebloods and came from a line of fairly wealthy, established wizards. Although their family was born into such a social circle, Ignatius did not share a judgement towards Purebloods or not. Instead, the subject was never brought up among the children, and so they grew up to be very kind, open-minded individuals, unlike some of the family they were related to. While their father supported a free-thinking upbringing, their mother was obviously more judgemental and preferred the 'Pureblood Way.' She never dared try to overshadow was Ignatius taught their children, but it was evident by her snide remarks that she looked down on those not of elitist status. Molly was a very shy, quiet girl growing up. She was tucked under the wing of her brothers' protection and was seemingly always watched to ensure she was cared for. She never had a chance to get a bruise or scratch, because someone watched her every move to ensure she was fine. As a child she loved the attention, of course, but as she grew older, it got old. Fast. Around the age of seven, Molly began pushing people away, telling them to leave her alone. She started running off and hiding in the garden in their backyard, finding solace under the shade of blooming bushes. She didn't push people away emotionally, but she did want a chance to thrive on her own. She needed to space to herself, to be able to spread her wings and learn what she liked about the world without being given parameters to like them within. She was extremely upset when her brothers went off to Hogwarts without her. Molly refused to come out of her room for two weeks following it, but when she got her first letters from each of them, she lightened up a bit. She missed them dearly, but she supposed writing back and forth could be fun for all of them. She wrote bits of letters daily, bopping from her current favorite song to something Dad said at dinner. It was fun for a while, then Molly began feeling like it was a chore and instead wrote a quick, brief letter once a week. After a few months of being without them, Molly was more independent than ever, and she actually enjoyed them being away. That didn't make it any less fun when it was finally her turn to go to Hogwarts. Molly did the typical pre-school shopping; she obtained a wand of 8 3/4" length Cherry with Unicorn Hair, an owl which she named Martin, and all her various books and supplies she'd need. She was anxious when she got to the Sorting Hat, but when she was placed in Gryffindor that all faded away. She made friends quickly - immediately finding comfort in others outside of her family dynamic. She met a boy named Arthur who grew into her blossoming circle of friends, as well as many others. Molly soon discovered her love for Charms, and it was there that she really excelled in school. Molly wasn't the greatest witch when it came to magical creatures or Herbology, but whenever it came to casting spells or hexes, she was brilliant. She joined the Dueling Club in her fourth year, much to the dismay of her mother. Her mother had wanted her to keep her head down through her schooldays and, hopefully, marry a Pureblood shortly after, but that was unlike Molly. She was independent, a quick-thinker, and a great duelist. The friends she had looked to her as a motherly figure, going to her for advice or a shoulder to cry on. Molly was sensitive to others' feelings, but her bravery began being nurtured as she stood up for her friends more and more. She began to see the rights and wrongs of the world, even if they didn't necessarily align with her mother's point of view. In her sixth year, Arthur Weasley professed his love to her. Molly, despite loving her friends and those around her, never considered that someone might feel that strongly for her in that way. Still, she enjoyed Arthur's company, and she gave him a chance. Their first date in Hogsmeade sparked something within her that she didn't think possible, especially at such a young age, and yet, it seemed as though their fate were sealed in that moment. From their first kiss, Molly knew that Arthur would be the one for her. Molly passed her exams and finished Hogwarts as a top student, but she didn't care too much about that. With just their immediate families present, Arthur and Molly exchanged vows in a park under a willow tree. It was nothing fancy at all, and Molly had wanted a larger event, but the love was there regardless. Her mother wasn't thrilled with her choice, but Arthur was a Pureblood and so she at least coped with it. Her father saw the love between them and, while they were just seventeen, he supported them. Arthur began his internship at the Ministry and Molly worked part-time in a shop in Diagon Alley to aid in the paying of the bills, but she fell pregnant shortly after their wedding and stopped working after nine months. When she was eighteen-years-old, Molly gave birth to their first child, Bill. He became the newest love of her life. Molly hadn't pictured getting pregnant so young, but she did always want a family, so they accepted it for what it was. Molly enjoyed being a mother, being home with Bill and taking care of the house. Their budget had to be stretched fairly thin for the newlyweds, so much so that Molly did eventually begin working again for a brief time, before they found out about a year later that Molly was pregnant once more. Arthur and Molly decided that since Arthur was on the brink of a promotion, she could be the homemaker full time. Molly didn't know if being a full-time mom was what she wanted. Did she want more out of life? Part of her did, but she wasn't sure what she would be able to do having two children before the age of twenty-one. Charlie's birth was much more tramautic than Bill's, certainly. Charlie came two weeks late and had the chord wrapped around his neck for a brief time before the doctors had to get him out. Molly was scared, and after that she was unsure if she wanted to have any more children. But when she looked into Charlie's sweet face and fell in love all over again with her newborn, she knew she wouldn't be able to stop at just two. It's been six years since Charlie was born and Molly has since given birth to Percy and her set of twins, Fred and George. Their life is chaotic, but Molly loves every second of it. She spends her free time (what free time?) painting and writing poetry, though she's not sure anything will come of doing it. She and Arthur have been saving for years to be able to finally buy their first home, so the excitement of that, paired with their newborn twins, has Molly's life completely preoccupied. Still, the threat of Voldemort is upon them, and Molly and Arthur have prepared to fight if they have to in order to protect those they love. |
