Prankster He spent a lot of his time in school in detention for the many pranks he played. He liked to play the most pranks on those he didn't like. Flirt Sirius has never been good in a relationship but he is always good at sweet talking girls. He has a good time going out to pubs and having a bit of fun. When he does find himself in a relationship he doesn't find himself in one long. Anger Not the best side of Sirius. He has a fiery temper and when he gets set off he has a hard time reigning it in. His anger often causes him to act without thinking and can get him into a lot of trouble. The things that cause his anger to flare up the most are when those he cares about get threatened or hurt. Rash Sirius sometimes has a hard time thinking before he acts. He is the type to rush in without a plan, this is usually thanks to his anger. He often gets scolded by the Order because he is supposed to act with them with a plan. [attr="class","nodensright1"]SUBJECT BACKGROUND [attr="class","nodensright21"] [attr="class","nodensright22"] Sirius was born the eldest child to his mother and father, though at first he was his parent’s pride he didn’t stay that way. He was their heir the one who would carry on their name and their values. The believed that pureblooded wizards were the only true wizards. Those born to muggles were lesser… it was their fault some families bore squibs… they fully believed that those mudbloods stole the magic at birth from those who would become shameful squibs. Sirius believed everything his parents told him… after all how would he know any better. Sirius grew up with his older cousins as his closest friends since he was only around near those who didn’t have tainted blood. He always did as his parents told him and always looked after his older brother since his parents never seemed to have patients for the younger Black brother. Sirius loved his little brother more than he loved anyone else and always spent his time trying to make him laugh. He often played pranks on his parents or their house elf just to cause Reg to laugh. His parents hated the pranks and he often ended up in hot water but it was worth it to Sirius. When Sirius was old enough he received his Hogwarts letter and he was excited to finally be able to go to school… the only thing he didn’t like was that he was going to have to leave his brother. The two were extremely close since they didn’t spend much time with other children their age. He already knew what house he would be sorted into...Slytherin after all almost his entire family was sorted into Slytherin. Slytherin was the best house to be sorted into in his opinion. His views were all shattered the when the sorting hat was placed onto his head, it didn’t shout out his house right away. Sirius sat swinging his feet for what seemed like hours as it grumbled until it shouted out “GRYFFINDOR”. Sirius’ mouth dropped open and he sat on the stool shocked… Gryffindor??? Why in the bloody hell was he sorted into the house of those goody two shoes? He looked up to argue but he was being shooed from the stool and down to the table of the other equally confused Gryffindor students. He sat at the table by himself as some of the other students not so swiftly scooted away from him. He was a child of the Black family and he knew he was disliked by those of muggle decent. He sat alone until a frail looking boy with the last name Lupin sat down next to him without seeming to notice him, The next to sit next to him was a chubby small boy with the last name Pettigrew, and then followed by the Potter boy… Sirius has heard about his family. He was part of a wealthy pureblood family but his mother had called them filthy blood traitors. Sirius didn’t know but in this moment his life would forever be changed. It didn’t take Sirius long to befriend the boys who had sat with him. He became the closest with James especially. He started to get to know a the other students in his house and he started to question his values. Sirius received a howeler or two from his parents stating their disappointment in the house he was sorted in and they had written him letters saying that they would write to the headmaster and demand for him to have a second chance with the sorting hat… that there had been a mistake. Though Sirius started to realize that it hadn’t been a mistake as his eyes began to open at how close minded his parents had raised him to be. When he went home on breaks he found it entertaining to make his parents angry by bringing muggle things into the house and using spells to plaster the walls of his room with Gryffindor memorabilia. He started to argue with his parents when they brought up their views. His mother often complained about the ‘phase’ he was going through but to her dismay he never grew out of it. It was his first summer home that his relationship with all of his family members really started to deteriorate. Sirius often went to James’ house after getting into arguments with his parents. This was when Sirius started to realize that his family never really showed their love in the way James’ parents did. He felt special and loved even when he made a mistake. When he made a mistake at his home his mother took a cane to his back to instill a life lesson into her son. It was in his second year that Sirius and his friends discovered a secret about heir friend Remus. They had always been curious of their friend’s odd quirks and finally learned that he was in fact a werewolf. Sirius had been raised to think werewolves were disgusting dangerous second class citizens. That werewolves were nothing but mindless hateful creatures… but Remus was far from those things. He was caring, he was loving… he was their friend. Instead of casting him away and revealing his secret James had a crazy idea… as he always did. They focused their efforts on being able to spend that time of the month with Remus. They thought long and hard on how they could be with their friend and not get hurt it was then that they had an idea. Werewolves didn't harm other animals. It was then that James, Sirius, and Peter decided to study and become Animagi. The boys focused most of their free time in studying on how to achieve such a thing at such a young age. They still saved time for pranks though especially Sirius and James; they often played pranks on the students they didn’t like especially Severus Snape. Sirius hated the boy since he was young. His parents often spoke poorly of the Snape family and when Sirius came to school Severus never changed that view. He found Severus as a small follower who just rubbed him the wrong way. Sirius always felt like he was the type to become a dark wizard someday. Through his years at Hogwarts Sirius had many girlfriends but he never was able to stay with them long. He was always getting bored and was never a loyal lover. He usually moved onto the next girl before fully ending things with the girl before that… all in all he really was an awful boyfriend. He hated doing school work but was a very bright student when he actually applied himself which is why by his fifth year he and his friends had mastered becoming Animagi. Sirius had taken shape of a large black dog, James took shape of a large stag… both of which would keep pace and strength with a werewolf… Peter however took the shape of a rat. Sirius didn’t really understand why he took form of a rat but Peter had managed to become an Animagi just like himself and James after all. This was the first year that Remus didn’t have to spend the full moon alone… he now had his friends to be there for him. This brought the group closer than they had ever been. Sirius was starting to consider these boys more of a family then his blood relatives. The relationship with his brother had by now deteriorated… the two boys no longer shared the same views and no longer seemed to be able to have any of the same interests. The once inseparable brothers were now closer to strangers than brothers and the thought broke Sirius’ heart but he didn’t know how to mend that space that had grown between the two. The relationship between his parents had suffered greatly as well. The arguments between himself and his mother often turned physical as she tried to beat the insolence out of him… but it didn’t work. It was during one such beating that Sirius packed a small bag of things and left his home… he was only sixteen and had nowhere to go… except one place. The only place that had ever really felt like home to him...the home of the Potters. He showed up at the Potter’s door around midnight on a stormy night, he was soaked to the bone as James opened the door. He didn’t say anything the rain his the tears streaming down his face and he fell into his brother’s arms. He finally broke… he broke at the thought of losing his family, they were awful people but they were his family, they were supposed to love him even if he did have flaws in their eyes but they hated everything about him and even when he tried to pretend it didn’t hurt him...it did...it did hurt. The two made it inside and James’ mother made him a cup of hot tea and dried him off. She invited Sirius to live with them and they all went to sleep. The next morning Sirius woke up in the same chipper mood he almost always had. He didn’t want to speak about his meltdown last night and was happy no one spoke of it ever again. He had been truly broken last night and hated it… he hated showing his emotions like that, he hated being open with how he felt. He also knew that James knew that. Sirius had no money and no blood related family, he had heard from his brother that their mother had blasted his name off the family tree… it hurt because Sirius knew that when his mother did that the family member was dead to her. She would rather see her son as dead then as a ‘blood traitor’. When his Uncle Alphard, his mother’s brother died he left Sirius a fortune seeing his nephew as brave for going against his family… this in turn caused his mother to blast his name off the family tree as well. When James and Lily started dating Sirius couldn’t help but he slightly jealous. James had always dated like Sirius did… never with any bit of commitment but with Lily Sirius noticed that James was different. James dedicated time to the girl… and that wasn’t something he usually did. He slowly came to terms with the two and started to develop his own friendship with the red headed girl but that was soon dashed when they all graduated. Lily broke up with James and broke his heart… Sirius refused to hold onto any type of friendship with someone who had hurt his brother such as that. |
